WLFC January Luncheon: Sex Trafficking
Sex Trafficking: Shedding Light on Ohio's Victims and Survivors
This presentation will focus on the legal remedies available for survivors of sex trafficking who face barriers as a result of their criminal records.
The presenter will be Verjine Adanalian, an attorney and Equal Justice Works Crime Victims Justice Corps fellow at the Ohio Justice & Policy Center, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit law firm. She advocates exclusively for survivors of sex trafficking throughout Ohio.
Verjine is also an adjunct professor at Wright State University for the Applied Behavioral Science Master’s Program. Verjine is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and former Managing Editor of the internationally-acclaimed Human Rights Quarterly publication. She has dedicated her career to advocate for human rights and dignity for all.
She provides free legal assistance and education to survivors of sex trafficking, and also provides education/training for legal professionals.
